BTU sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation quality, ceiling height, number of windows, and local climate. A proper Manual J heat load calculation is the industry standard — and what we perform before every installation. As a rough guide, GTA homes typically need 30–45 BTU per square foot. Oversizing is just as problematic as undersizing: an oversized furnace short-cycles, wears out faster, and creates humidity issues.
