Why Maintenance Matters

6 Reasons to Get an AC Maintenance Plan

Your AC works hardest during the hottest weeks. That's exactly when it's most likely to fail — unless it's been properly maintained.

Prevent Summer Breakdowns
Most AC failures happen during heat waves when demand is highest. Annual tune-ups catch worn parts before they fail.
Lower Hydro Bills
Dirty coils and low refrigerant make your AC work harder. A clean system uses up to 15% less electricity.
Extend Equipment Life
A maintained AC lasts 15–20 years. Without maintenance, expect 10–12 years — and more frequent repairs.
Better Air Quality
Clean coils and a fresh filter mean cleaner, healthier air circulating through your home all summer.
Protect Your Warranty
Manufacturers require annual professional maintenance to keep your warranty valid. Our plans satisfy this requirement.
Priority Service
Plan members skip the queue during peak summer. When everyone's AC breaks down, yours gets fixed first.

Year-Round Care

Seasonal AC Maintenance Schedule

Your air conditioner needs attention at different times of year. Here's what to focus on each season:

🌱 Spring
March – May
Annual tune-up — Schedule before cooling season. Clean coils, check refrigerant, test capacitors. This is when we do your plan visit.
☀️ Summer
June – August
Monitor & maintain — Check filter monthly (heavy use). Keep outdoor unit clear of debris. Listen for unusual noises. Plan members: call for priority service.
🍂 Fall
September – November
End-of-season care — Replace filter. Clear leaves from outdoor unit. Cover condenser if desired. Schedule furnace tune-up if you have a dual plan.
❄️ Winter
December – February
Off-season prep — Good time for upgrades or replacements. Best pricing on new equipment. Keep outdoor unit clear of snow and ice buildup.
FAQ

AC Maintenance Questions

How often should I get my AC serviced?
Once a year, ideally in the spring before cooling season. This ensures everything is working before you need it most. All our plans include one annual visit — we'll remind you when it's time.
What's the difference between the three plans?
Basic gets you the annual tune-up. Standard adds a free filter, priority scheduling, and 15% off repairs. Full Protection covers everything — parts, labour, and maintenance — so you never pay for a repair. If your AC is over 5 years old, Standard or Full Protection is usually worth it.
Can I bundle AC and heating maintenance?
Yes — and we recommend it. Bundle a heating plan and AC plan together for a combined rate. Call us for bundle pricing. You'll get two annual visits (fall for heating, spring for cooling) covering your entire HVAC system.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. No long-term contracts, no cancellation fees. We keep customers because the service is worth it, not because of fine print.
Do you service ductless mini-splits?
Yes. Our AC maintenance plans cover central air conditioners, ductless mini-splits, and heat pumps. The inspection is adapted for your specific system type. Call us and we'll set up the right plan.
What brands do you service?
All of them — Keeprite, Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, Trane, Rheem, York, Daikin, Amana, American Standard, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, and every other brand sold in Canada. Our technicians are trained on all major makes and models.
My AC seems fine — do I really need maintenance?
Your AC can lose 5% efficiency per year without maintenance — and you won't notice until it fails on the hottest day of summer. Maintenance catches worn capacitors, low refrigerant, dirty coils, and other problems that are cheap to fix now but expensive when they cause a breakdown.
